I know its not a long flight but my OT recommended flight socks for any journey and an aisle seat so you can get a good regular stretch. Other than that you've got it covered apart from bringing back a stuffed donkey and jar of olives!
Have fun

Have a lovely time. My 22 year old and 18 year old came to Tenerife at Easter with me!! Free holiday, but they were actually really good company!! Take a spare mobile or make sure you have one too (the 22 year old managed to lose hers!!) and spare sunglasses (my 18 year old had his taken from the side of the pool!) - but they are cheap to buy there if that happens.

I must admit I still sit in the sun (just making sure I use a high factor sun cream!!)... as I am a sun lover. We're off to a Greek Island next!! Worth buying suntan cream here (even though it is heavy) as it is very expensive over there - if you do need more use a supermarket rather than beach shop, as it's cheaper.

Definitely take the insect repellent - apparently the mozzies are out in force in Europe this year. We`ve just come back from two weeks in Portugal, and used Autan to keep the biters at bay. Burning citronella incense sticks outside on the balcony kept them away too.

Enjoy your hols - enjoyed every minute of mine!!

hi, well back to good old blighty now and i had a really good time, the temp was 29 0/0 at night so didnt get much sleep, hotel had no air con and a fan to hire was 60e, the hotel we were in was right in party land so it was loud all night, even my daughter moaned about no sleep(she does like her sleep)that and the heat but it didnt spoil our hols,we found it expensive but we went all inclusive so it was spends only, thankfully, as we are now euro to pound and boy it was not cheap we saw a loaf of bread £3,cup coffee £3 even a cola was £ 3.50 we even had a cocktail at night 8e(£8) only ever had one and sat for over an hour with them doing the people watch thing boy i learned alot, but i have to say when on holiday you pay it, we did use taxi's alot they were 2e/3e and we got the local buses at 2/3e each way so that was good, we did go to a drag show through the tour operator that was 50e each and worth every euro it was fantastic so funny, alot of the activities were dear but worth doing as not really alot else apart from shopping, drinking and sunbathing,i did get a little heat stroke on our first day but learned to nap midday these spanish do have a good idea in the siesta thing they go indoors from 11 to around 5 and then work all night till 3am but the shopping centers dont close they are 9-6 and the whole place is locked up same as here, they are lovely all air con, we did get hassled once by 5 big african ladies tring to sell us wrist ties so that gave us a bit of a fright, they would not let our hands go so we had to pull our hands and really be firm to get away,we told the tour girls and they said just shout" police where is police" and they will leave us alone if it happened again as it is illegal to street sell but as one does we just didnt go back to that part just incase, most of the time if we said no thank you they would nod and smile and we kept walking, any way i made it unscathed and very tired, will need to rest up for a day or 2, just like to say went ryan air as cheap flights but would say they are ok for a 2/3hr flight but we were 4.15hr and it was so boring and uncomfortable and they ran out of lots of foods and drinks i was glad we always eat before boarding but we did have a hot drink and a biscuit of sorts and it cost us £5 each but you cant go that long without a drink at least the loo is free,my son flew ryan air last year and that used to be a euro,i managed not to lose anything and had a death grip on my passport in the airports my daughter was such good company,my son made us phone him every second night i felt like the child but it was nice to be looked after not looking after someone else for a change,

Hi Dorothy

Welcome back! Glad you had a good holiday albeit expensive (drinks etc) by the sound of it. Hopefully the sun hasn't damaged your skin.

Hi Dorothy

So pleased you had a good time despite the high prices and persistent street traders!!

It is lovely when your family grow up and invite you to go away with them.

Hope you are taking it easy to recuperate.

Best Wishes

Hello Dorothy

Glad you enjoyed yourholiday albeit too hot and expensive. Yes you will need to rest for a few
days.

Please go on You Tube and then type in Fascinating Aida and look for Cheap Flights.
It is true and sooooo funny
